Ana's cardiology appointment went well. She was so brave. Dr. L says her heart is perfect! The heart muscles are very strong. He agreed with all of the other specialists that it is Ana's autonomic system that isn't working properly and causing the low blood pressure issues. Basically her "control system" doesn't control things just right.
On July 15th, 2010 she will undergo MRI's of her brain and spine along with a Lumbar Puncture. This was originally scheduled for July 7th, but had to be changed. The MRI sedation team cannot sedate her due to her recent history with sedation. They had to reschedule it with the general anesthesia team. General anesthesia can better maintain her airway by intubating (putting a tube into her airway to keep it open) her and they have a better understanding of the blood pressure and temperature issue. As it stands right now, we should be able to go in and come home the same day. If there are anesthesia complications, we will probably be admitted overnight. Pray that nothing goes wrong... pray that her brain would maintain her blood pressure... pray for the doctors who will need to think quick and act carefully... pray that if there is something going on in her brain or spine that the doctors would be able to find it and treat it.
Today I take my grandmother back to the orthopedic for an MRI of her hip. Last week they found spots on the bone. They need an MRI to rule out bone cancer. If there is no cancer then we will schedule her surgery (hip replacement) today. Pray for my grandma and family as we wait eagerly for these results... pray that it is not cancer... pray for my children and their patience as we take her back and forth to the doctor.
Ana's Baby Be Blessed fundraiser ends at midnight tonight. We feel so blessed to have been part of this ministry. Thank you to whoever nominated Ana! I am so amazed!!! Ana's goal was met while I was typing this update!!! Donations will continue to be accepted by this ChipIn until midnight. Thank you to all of you who donated and thank you to those who couldn't donate but are praying for our sweet Ana Maria.
25"For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?
26"Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?
27"And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?
28"And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin,
29yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these.
30"But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith!
31"Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear for clothing?'
32"For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
33"But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
34"So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Matthew 6:25-34
