Happy New Year!!!

Ana with her dog, Cleo.

Ana, after a long New Year's day!

I am praying 2009 will be full of blessings! The Lord has been so good to us. Today was a great day for Ana and tomorrow we go to MUSC to see her new neurologist. Please keep Dr. Kinsman in your prayers as he tries so diligently to treat Ana.

This week we signed Ana up for Heroes On Horseback! This is a wonderful program for people with disabilities and we are absolutely thrilled that she got in and with tuition assistance!!! What a blessing!!! The physical therapist in Charleston recommended we take a break from structured therapy and try therapeutic horseback riding. Ana is so excited she can hardly wait to start classes the end of January!! Please consider donating to their cause in honor of Ana Maria. They are in need of financial support and volunteers.

Also, Ana's birthday is January 14th! I can't believe she is going to be 5 years old! We are hoping to put together a party for next weekend, but we will see how things go.

Lastly, our trip to Cincinnati is coming together. Miracle flights should be calling us any day now with our itinerary. Ana's account has enough funds for a rental car, and with alot of prayer we are blessed to have found a way to pay for the hotel!!! God is constantly answering our prayers and for that we are so very thankful! All we need now is food money... the hotel serves a free breakfast, so all we have to provide are lunch (if needed) and dinner! We know God will provide... He always does! Whenever in doubt I reread Matthew 6:25-34:

Do Not Worry
25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own
