We are pretty sure that Ana has "turned the corner". Her feeds are up to 40cc's per hour and we only have to get them to 55cc's per hour to go home!!!! Tonight she was sitting on the bed and I heard a loud rumble... her bowels are on the move! Within minutes she was leaking stool!!! Yipee... Praise God!!! She continued with the rumbles and we did her first integrated enema through the Malone. The Malone is a true blessing... no discomfort... no pain... and only takes about 25 minutes from start to finish! Josh- you are gonna love this... I can't wait to train you!
Tonight Ana also told me, "I feel just like I did when we were home... before surgery." She said, "Look mommy, I can walk faster again and my tummy doesn't even hurt!" And lastly, "Mommy I am hungry... go get me food to eat." My baby is so ready to go home.
Join us in sending praises to the Lord!

We are so happy Ana is doing so much better. We miss you all a lot and hope you still get to come in October. Everyone is praying for her and it shows because it is working. Love you all and hope to hear from you soon. Give Ana a big hug from Gabi. He misses her a lot.ReplyDelete
That is wonderful to hear that her bowels have waken up and that her Malone is working well. Gives me something to think about in the future for Maggie.ReplyDelete
