Test results...

The nerve study was normal and the dr. decided against the EMG. He said being that she already had an abnormal muscle biopsy there was no reason to do an EMG. The EMG was the needle part of the test that checks the nerves in the muscles. The dr. called the neurologist and he agreed the EMG was unnecessary and with her disease all they can do is attempt to treat symptoms. The more this disease progresses the more down I get. I know my God will take care of us and I do trust His perfect plan, but as she gets worse the thought of loosing her becomes more real. I know that Heaven is a better place than this, but I do not want to see her go. I know you guys pray diligently for our baby girl every day and I am forever grateful. However, I have another favor to ask... Would you consider posting prayers or positive thoughts here on her site or in her Guestbook? I am in a place in need of comfort and words of encouragement. I know you are there... I see the numbers on the counter change by the day... let me know you are there and who you are... be more than a number... be our known prayer warriors! Thank you.

  2. Emmy,
    I am so sorry as this is so hard. I pray for you all and will continue to. I have two verses that provide comfort for me whenever I am down. The first is my theme verse for my blog site.
    "I have strength for all things in Christ who empowers me--I am ready and equal to anything through Him who infuses inner strength into me." Philipians 4:13

    The last one is "Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. My yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matt.11:28

    Praying and sending love and hugs your way (((hugs)))

  3. I read this on Oswald Chambers "My Utmost for His Highest". It is an online devotional. It encouraged me so much when I read it as I was having a hard time with our illness. I thought I would copy and paste it here for you. Hope it helps you as much as it helps me! It is based on the verse found in Mat. 11:28...Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give your rest".

    Here it is:
    Where sin and sorrow stops, and the song of the saint starts. Do I really want to get there? I can right now. The questions that truly matter in life are remarkably few, and they are all answered by these words— "Come to Me." Our Lord’s words are not, "Do this, or don’t do that," but— "Come to me." If I will simply come to Jesus, my real life will be brought into harmony with my real desires. I will actually cease from sin, and will find the song of the Lord beginning in my life.

    Have you ever come to Jesus? Look at the stubbornness of your heart. You would rather do anything than this one simple childlike thing— "Come to Me." If you really want to experience ceasing from sin, you must come to Jesus.

    Jesus Christ makes Himself the test to determine your genuineness. Look how He used the word come. At the most unexpected moments in your life there is this whisper of the Lord— "Come to Me," and you are immediately drawn to Him. Personal contact with Jesus changes everything. Be "foolish" enough to come and commit yourself to what He says. The attitude necessary for you to come to Him is one where your will has made the determination to let go of everything and deliberately commit it all to Him.

    ". . . and I will give you rest"— that is, "I will sustain you, causing you to stand firm." He is not saying, "I will put you to bed, hold your hand, and sing you to sleep." But, in essence, He is saying, "I will get you out of bed— out of your listlessness and exhaustion, and out of your condition of being half dead while you are still alive. I will penetrate you with the spirit of life, and you will be sustained by the perfection of vital activity." Yet we become so weak and pitiful and talk about "suffering" the will of the Lord! Where is the majestic vitality and the power of the Son of God in that?

  5. Isaiah 43: 1-5 (NLT)

    But now, listen to the Lord who created you.
    O Israel, the one who formed you says,
    “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you.
    I have called you by name; you are mine.
    When you go through deep waters,
    I will be with you.
    When you go through rivers of difficulty,
    you will not drown.
    When you walk through the fire of oppression,
    you will not be burned up;
    the flames will not consume you.
    For I am the Lord, your God,
    the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
    I gave Egypt as a ransom for your freedom;
    I gave Ethiopia and Seba in your place.
    Others were given in exchange for you.
    I traded their lives for yours
    because you are precious to me.
    You are honored, and I love you.
    “Do not be afraid, for I am with you."

    I just read this and thought of you.
    ' In Him,
    Kelly
