This morning Ana went in to the hospital for G/J tube placement. We found out yesterday it would need to be done while under general anesthesia. Before surgery it was our impression that she would be released to go home, but per surgens orders Ana will be kept for 23hour obeservation. She has a neurological appointment this afternoon that we have been waiting a quite some time, so the surgen will allow us to leave and come back. At this time we are unsure of the doctors reasoning for this overnight stay, but our assumption is that it may be due to her recent volume issues that have caused her weight loss. All else aside, the tube placement went fine. We will update as we recieve new information.
Ana has Oxidative Phosphorylation Complex I Defect. Ana's defect is a primary Mitochondrial Disease. Ana's only chance for a cure is through God. Please consider praying for Ana on a daily basis.
